Privacy Policy
MAGA or Not is a public, read-only directory. The website does not require user accounts, but the site and related browser extension do process some technical and user-submitted information when pages are loaded, searched, matched, or contacted.
Scope
This policy applies to the public MAGA or Not website, related Worker-hosted pages, and the MAGA or Not Chrome extension.
The site does not currently offer user accounts, subscriptions, or payment checkout.
Information the site receives
When you browse the site, Cloudflare and the site operator may process standard request data such as IP address, browser or device details, requested URL, approximate timestamps, referrer information, and basic security or diagnostic signals.
If you use on-site search, the search term may appear in the page URL or request path and may therefore show up in browser history, server logs, or referrer data.
If you use the contact form, the site receives the information you submit in the form, along with technical signals needed to run Turnstile and rate-limit abusive traffic.
If you use the Chrome extension on normal websites, the extension may send the current hostname to MAGA or Not to resolve a site or domain match, and may request entity detail payloads for matched profiles.
If you use the Chrome extension on X or Twitter, profile-name matching is performed locally in the browser from structured page UI. The extension does not send full page text or post content back to MAGA or Not for generic matching.
The Chrome extension also stores matcher caches, site-match caches, and per-tab side-panel state locally in Chrome storage on your device.
How information is used
Technical and operational information is used to serve pages, operate search, keep the site reliable, detect abuse, rate-limit the contact form, and debug failures.
Extension hostname lookups and entity-detail requests are used to show current-domain matches, side-panel details, and X or Twitter profile context in the extension UI.
Contact-form submissions are used to respond to questions, review correction requests, review inclusion requests, and handle privacy or policy inquiries.
The site may also review aggregate usage patterns to understand which public pages and browse paths are most useful. That may include pageview and navigation data collected through Google Analytics.
Cloudflare and other third parties
The site runs on Cloudflare Workers and related Cloudflare services. Cloudflare may process request data, security signals, and challenge-related data needed to host and protect the site.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection and Cloudflare email delivery or routing to send messages to the support inbox.
The site uses Google Analytics to measure traffic and usage patterns. Google may receive technical and usage information associated with page loads and events collected through that service.
The Chrome extension runs inside Google Chrome and is distributed through the Chrome Web Store. Browser and store behavior are also subject to Google's own policies and terms.
Published evidence items link to third-party source material. Those external sites operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
Retention and choices
Operational logs, security data, and anti-abuse records may be retained as long as reasonably necessary for security, debugging, site administration, and recordkeeping.
Contact submissions may be retained in the support inbox as long as needed to respond, maintain correction history, review privacy requests, or prevent abuse.
Please avoid sending sensitive personal information through the contact form. If you have a privacy request or question, use the contact page.
Children and updates
The site is not directed to children under 13.
This policy may change as the site, infrastructure, or operating practices change. The version posted on this page is the current version.
